Almost no people on the streets of Makati, gone are the typical yuppies with their signature clothes and leather shoes with a cigarette in between their lips...just a few wanderers, half empty busses and clueless cab drivers looking for passengers...its a good walk actually...
Most of my shots are taken hurriedly, should have taken more pictures if not for some killjoy security guards who decided that "taking pictures in Makati" is strictly prohibited....What ordinance number I asked one of them...no can say...I never argued...don't want to get blasted with a shotgun hehe...
I ended up at Powerbooks Makati, sale still ongoing, then I realized I only got 50 bucks in my pocket...I went home feeling something amiss...I passed by Glorietta, lovely, beautiful girls...of course...I could only imagine what chances I had for getting their attention...maybe none at all....SFW who cares...that day will come...
till then happy picture taking for me...in my "nomadic experiences"

Oakwood is crawling with security guards,...i chickened out taking pictures they might mistook me for a coup plotter...paranoid androids...
i kind of miss the chaos that is Makati. The traffic, the buildings, the people...and heck even MAPSA. Pasig is so...boring I guess...I don't get to see much buildings going to work and back home
kcajcauorek wrote on Aug 12, '07, edited on Aug 12, '07 I only take the MRT on Sunday...mostly I take the LRT...its impossible taking the MRT on weekdays...Ayala Station is filled to the rafters...plus i got to walk and see beautiful gerls in Glorietta hehe...I didn't stay long though...as I would start asking myself "what the hell i'm doing there?" hehe
Makati is dead on weekends. You could have lied down on the streets in 5 minutes without getting road killed.

| kcajcauorek wrote on Aug 12, '07, edited on Aug 12, '07 Generalization. I'm sort of from Makati and I go there everyday since my parents work there. Most of the people I see walking in the streets of Makati are the same sort of people you'd see in Katipunan(minus the students.. i study in that area ahaha) or elsewhere.
Anywho.. Not the reason why I wanted to view this. Dropped by to say
Loooooovelyyy photographs ;) You're right, for every 1 yuppie looking person there are 5 others who may very well be job hunters, people who end up in Makati, struggling ones, the working class, construction workers...and students...all kinds of people really...
I was one of those jobseekers once who used to take a walk along the sidewalks of Makati,...and I know how those people feels like, under the sun not knowing if you're money is enough for some yummy fishballs and kikiams...hehe
thanks...

wow! nice pics lahat...:) congrats....
Pare, you know? Makati, being depicted in your shots, reminds me of that forlorn place in "The Langoliers."
Stephen King? haven't read that one yet...yeah its almost deserted...almost like you're in another country..with a very small population...
Taking pictures are prohibited in Makati? Says who? Anyway, lovely pictures ;)
