I'm staring at a long distance thing. My last became a long distance as well. Philippines to London. This time, much nearer Philippines to Singapore and no visa required to hop a plane to this Merlion country.

I have two advantages going for me; one are the lessons i learned in my previous long distance "yun na", second: i'll have a chance to go there and visit anytime provided i save up for it. Which at this age of budget airlines, ordinary blokes like me can possibly afford.

Well, we haven't personally met yet, she met my two friends already though. Mark who works in Singapore gives her a passing grade, Don who went to Singapore earlier this month for a business trip gave her "two thumbs up".

"pare okay" and he's not only talking about the Physical traits, but the character as well.

I know and already met her sister here.

So the agenda was to take things slow as she suggested and try to get to know each other more. Save up for the Singapore trip and bahala na si Batman!...

LDR? I think I have to lessen my flirting online right now....

A successful LDR and a brand new DSLR...alright!

I've had experiences with LDRs. :) They work if you're both really into each other. That's how my husband and I started. So there's hope Marky...no worries! :D

hahah huwaw goodluck. last relationship ko din longdistance. we lasted for like 4 yrs.. umm pro 1 yr lng sha sa singapore nun. all i can say... "TRAUMATIC" but fun. =) ahhaha weird nu? fun kasi... i got to travel in sinagpore last yr.. ALL EXPENSE PAID. and he's sending me money every month. hahahahha! cool!!!!!

anyway, goodluck marky with the long distance relationship. if i were you. I'll go there and be with her to get to know more about her. After all, you've saved up na din and it's convenient for you to go there.

LDRs are for couples who know each other very well already because by the time they get separated, they have a stronger bond and trust to each other. pero kung maguumpisa pa lang kayo sa relationship... eh mag-isip isip ka na kung gusto mo ba talaga ng long distance.

I've experienced it several times and it's really hard.

So there.. if you're really into her then go. If you're serious then no more flirting online just because you're bored. Goodluck! :)

hmm.. all i can say is that it never quite adds up to what people tell you.. you know? most of the time people try to put you down and tell you its hard and all that, but really, it's not. they probably tell you that because they don't know what real love is. I know it sounds pathetic and sappy, but its true. The first few months come as a hurdle, but after a while you get used to it, and you get used to the idea of a light at the end of the tunnel.

Long Distance Relationships work, if both of you have:
1.established relationship before the LD stage
2. self-control- lots of this one
3. great love and of course
4. a budget for regular overseas calls.
