Summer is over i think, but i still have one beach trip to go courtesy of our office outing in Quezon.
After that its indoors once again for me, reading a book with a hot milo on the bedside table while rain pours heavily outside.
Fried tuyo and kamatis with fried rice in the morning, yummy.
Flooded streets, especially at Monumento, crossing wooden plywoods for 5.00 peso fee, people bothering you to buy an umbrella for 50.00PHP that is good to use for only one time before it breaks apart. Traffic jams, wet shoes = smelly feet as well.
Gear up for the wet season. Colds, flu and runny nose, make sure to stock up on Biogesic and Robitussin Forte. Sleep would be a blast, no more heat stroke man, i just hope that we don't get to experience another "Milenyo" the super typhoon that brought down many trees, billboards and electric posts.
Of course provinces like Quezon, Bicol, Batanes, Mountain Province will get hit once again by strong typhoons, landslides and other tragedies are lurking (knock on wood), hope the corresponding Provincial and local government will take effect an effective emergency plan for each areas hit all the time by super typhoons.
Memories of childhood buzzes my ear, i can hear children playing on the playground singing "rain rain go away come again another day", well i'm fine with rain, just that i dont get caught up in the middle of my commute from work.
I'd gladly pick up one of my backlog books, probably a Tom Robbins novel and I'm looking forward for an extended weekend stay in my room with only a hot Milo giving me a company. Well a girlfriend is very much welcome.
One last trip to the beach this weekend with my officemates. Then it's all "staying at home on weekends for me" till i don't know when. Well if its sunny still in June...and i still have some dough on my pocket then who knows, whether if i'll hit the road again.
Take care all of you...here comes the rain!...do i hear someone singing that Garbage hit song?
