I slept for only three hours the other night, was left standing at Edsa Cubao waiting for a bus ride home at 2:30 AM the other night after a drinking session with Apple at Mogwai in Cubao X where we ended up with a drinking ratio of 1:2 (4 for me and 8 bottles for her). Last night i slept at 9:37 PM.
I am not a fan of sleeping i feel its stealing away precious hours from our life. Imagine if you lived to be 50 years old and if you sleep at least 8 hours a day that means you spent more than 15 years of your life sleeping.
That's a lot of lost time. People should not sleep. There should be 24 hour malls, bowling strips, Jollijeeps and beerhouses.
IN a world without the possibility of an energy crisis, everything should go on round the clock all day long. Maybe that's my version of Eutopia. People don't have to sleep, and the term "sleeping together" wont be of use anymore.
But on second thought, with all these madness happening around, watching the news gets you more depressed, i think SLEEP is the ultimate escape and after you wake up it brings a feeling of a new start. Morning dews on your windows, achy feet walking down the stairs, visions clouded by your "muta" still sticking in your eyes, opening the fridge for some ice cold coke. (i'm not a coffee person hehe). Fried rice and sunny side egg.
And then reading the morning newspaper, which will bring depression again and the thought of repeating yesterday like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.
Well, i wish someday i'll get to do things differently each day. I get to go fishing today, go camping the next, go to a park the following day, hit the beach the next, spend the night in jail the next day, go fucking crazy in a pub the next night or sleep with a girlfriend the next and so on.
sleepin is practicing for death. ugh! eutopia for me is the exhilarating highs and lows i get from alcohol. hehe.ü apolcoholic ata ko. nyaha! Gmorning!ü
Hey buddy, you need to slow down and maybe reflect during one of your days in the beach. I think it will do you some good. A balance life is a happy, peaceful, productive life... just a friendly reminder, hope you don't mind me saying that.
i agree with time lost when you sleep but hey it's a good thing waking up and having something to look forward to the next day dba?!besides what matters is the quality of sleep not the quantity.so i think you can still get the best out of life with just a few hours of sleep. :-)
I value sleep so much (i'm a sleepyhead). When i wake up, I know i'm ready to face the day again with more energy to do the things you wish doing differently each day. it's not about losing time (when you sleep), it's how you make the most of your time when you are awake.

These are the only options possible here in Dubai, what are you waiting for? These are the very typical recreations in Dubai Life and this is what people normally do over the weekend.
you know what we share the same sentiment, that's what i always tell my friends, whenever they ask me why I am not fond of sleeping, I always say that time is ticking make the most of each moment.
I get only an average of 4 hours of sleep every night. My shift ends at 12mn, darating sa bahay around 2am. Go to bed 3am. Gising na by 7am para ihatid si wifey sa sakayan. Ok lang naman. I'm not a big fan of sleep myself... =)
