On the way to work earlier today, just as the LRT train was passing along Carriedo i saw this medium sized advertisement poster from Sogo Hotel that says

"Holyweek Promo 50% off on 12 hour stay"

I know during Valentines Day, motels are packing with the "check inners" but during this holy month time management of these establishments are coming up with promotional gimmicks.

But who would want to check in on holyweek? even with 50% discount and all. I mean people don't eat pork during holy week much more to fornicate with a mistress, a lover, secret fling in a motel.

But anyway I'm sure there would be interested people out there. Who cares anyway what you do during holyweek. Many people will go to the beach and i hope my plans to go to Anawangin pushes through or else i might just spend the holy week reading Vonnegut.

Remember it's not what you do during the few days of the holyweek that will matter, its what kind of person you will be for the rest of the year or the rest of your life. Even if you crucify yourself on a cross and keep coming back to your bad old ways, God won't be keeping score of your short term sacrifices.

Three or four days of hitting churches and self contemplation and being holy is nothing if you're going to spend the next 360 plus days being such an asshole to your neighbors, friends and even lovers hehe.

But hey nothing wrong with going to Sogo during the holy week and taking advantage of that 50% discount hehe.
