Blog EntryThank God for NB Sale and White Castle Whiskey.Mar 11, '08 7:14 PM
for everyone
I don't drink much. Maximum 2 bottles of San Mig Light and I'm done. But when i'm at home and sleep is acting hard to get and all. I make it a point to at least drink a few servings of White Castle Whiskey which i get for free from my cousin.

Last night after drinking half of the White Castle i found myself lost in dreams that only Dave McKean can create, no Sandman though just this array of grotesque and bizarre images that i half remember right now.

Anyway last saturday i was able to score some great reads from National Bookstore all three at 40% off.

Kurt Vonnegut's "Welcome to the Monkey House" and "The Piano Player"
Chuck Palahniuk's "Rant"

and the previous week Anthony Swofford's "Exit A".

Thank God indeed for National Bookstore. Unlike Fullybooked and Powerbooks, NB isn't a greedy establishment.

My dream is to have a bookstore that will sell cheap books as possible.

Last night i started reading "Monkey House" I'm trying to interchange it with Tom Robbins' "Villa Incognito".

Anyway i better take a shower now, got to go to work early.

Me... If I find myself a little isomniac... I have a collection of small liquor bottles (hidden stash) of Absolut Vodka. ahahahhahaha :)

But yes, wouldn't a small quaint bookstore with the smell of coffee and old books embroiled in an unseparable infusion just a dream come true....

Nag Jack Daniels ako napa White Castle ka? Matinidi ka rin no? AHAHAHAHA.
Sabihin mo saken kung OK yung Rant dahil nakabalot pa yung kopya ko sa CDO. Di pa ako nakakapagbasa lately. Next book on my reading list is Henry Miller's Crazy Cock. Hehehe.

Hi. I don't know you but I like what you wrote on your second "pseudo-paragraph". Hehe.

Get a BIG bottle of Absolut. It doesn't go bad even after a few weeks (i.e., even after 4-6 thick novels) if you seal it tight. Then you can use the emptly bottles as book-ends (fill them with sand or stones or marbles)... =)

*peace*

Diplomat bookstore
One of the greatest moments of my life is finding Kerouac's Desolation Angels, James Lee Burke's The Lost Get-Back Boogie and Hunter S. Thompson's The Great Shark Hunt for Php30, Php10, and Php30, respectively, in Diplomat along P. Tuazon. =)
