For some reason i found myself waking up in the couch in the living room downstairs, hurried to get online and check my email, which i forgot i have yet to email my resume for a writing job Karl told me about, i had a half filled Cheese Balls box in front of me, yeah that's my breakfast. In a few minutes i'll take a plunge in a pail filled with cold water.
How i wish the wheather would be just like this year long round, windy, a bit wet in the morning, some fog covering the highway at the setting of the sun reminiscent of a Stephen King's novel. Slowly but surely my days are being spent in redundancy i wonder how many people live that way also?
My mind is focused on doing something drastic in the coming days, you know that stupid Centrum commercial that features Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual enumerating things they want to do in their life.
Like for example:
Piolo Pascual : I want to fly kites with my kid, i want to do extreme sports blah blah blah (and in the end) I want to be complete.
Well for starters, that commercial sucks, but still it made me wonder of things i wanted to do in my life.
I'm not getting any younger, i surely despised the idea of becoming a businessman. But i realized i dont have to be a businessman with a bussiness attire and selling things people dont really need.
It made me wonder of dreaming about having a bookstore someday where people can sit down and grab a drink while some poet is reading his/her original poetry and a small place inside where people can have an exhibit of something.
Yeah a bookstore slash gallery slash poetry reading slash performance art stage slash coffee slash bar. Okay without strippers, i dont want to attract perverts like me hehe.
I figured that will cost me millions of Pesos in capital. A Check on my savings confirms i have 4,000 pesos cash on hand with me, tucked in my Jack Kerouac's "On the Road" book.
Yes, i dont keep my money in the bank, i tuck them inside in my books (notice to burglars, check my bookshelf first).
But if i start now, in five years time i'm hoping there would be welcome developments.
I wish. + Good Karma + Higher Spirit willing + Chanting
Anyway, until that time i'll continue being an employee and forever waiting for that next paycheck.
 | pautang...or pahiram ng book na may pera...lolz. :) |
 | simulan mo na ung bookstore.. pwede ka kumita dun kahit konti konti muna.. tapos bigtime na d mo namalayan!..
Saan na ung list? :) |
 | baka ikaw na mabasa kong next rags-to-riches tale ha in the few years. henry sy started his department store empire from a sari-sari store, manny villar utilized his 10, 000 capital wisely and look at him now.. he's the richest politician and a real estate tycoon! we just have to believe in our dreams and work hard to attain it. And in God's perfect time we will reap the fruit of our hard labor. :P |
 | marky, pahiram ng libro. yung kay jack kerouac. yung "on the road" :D
joke lang.
seriously though, malay mo mag click yung gusto mo gawin? gooooo! we promise to hang out sa book store mo and buy stuff pag meron na. :D
|
 | i think that'll be a hit. explore that possibility. good luck! you might not even need a million if you have a bunch of talented friends who'd be willing to help. haha! |
 | dear, we're all employees waiting for the next paycheck. but yeah, none of us are getting younger (and I think I am older than you in any case). but that's a good dream: your own bookstore slash gallery. why not? it CAN happen. And if you do that I'll know I won't have to wade through a ton of trashy books to find a gem.
therefore I have given in and got an account opened and trying desperately to save up for my own thing as well.
See you friday at the office :) |
